Text Box: Our August meeting featured an Herb Study on the 2014 Herb of the Year ~ Artemisia

Good news!!! The Scholarship Luncheon location has been changed to the RSVP Event Center at Wards Corner, 453 Wards Corner Road, Loveland, OH 45140, location of Village Pantry Catering. The decision was made because it is a wonderful venue with ample parking (many have been experiencing parking problems due to the school construction near the Wyoming Civic Center).

In addition to adding a cash bar for the luncheon, at the new location there will also be a separate room for our brief Herb Society meeting and the program, “Peace Pole Gardens” presented by Herb Society member, Pat Selmeier, and her husband Joel, presently the only sculptor of high-end peace poles used in public and private gardens.

Service hour details mentioned previously remain the same with the exception that no cleanup will be necessary for Herb Society members (Village Pantry will cleanup and wash the dishes!!!). Your service is still needed if you signed up to help with setup, to make lemon bars, favors or centerpieces.

The schedule for the day is: 10:00 a.m. registration/buying raffle tickets; 10:30 a.m. brief Herb Society meeting; 11:00 a.m. lunch; 12:00 p.m. program; raffle after program.

The luncheon cost is $20.00 per member, $25 per guest. Reservations are due by Thursday, October 9, 2014 to: Terry Lemmerman, 1231 Laurence Road, Wyoming, OH 45215. No phone reservations please.

Please invite friends to the luncheon Thursday, October 16, 2014 (our regular 3rd Thursday of the month meeting date). Your support of this fundraising event will help greatly with the money needed for Herb Society Scholarships to be awarded in the future.
